The Buffalo Bills have been one of the more impressive teams this season, as evidenced by their 6-2 start to the year. Despite losing Stefon Diggs and Gabe Davis, this Bills offense has held its own on the back of Josh Allen, rookie Keon Coleman, and running back James Cook. However, the Bills made it clear they would make a move if they saw an opportunity, trading for former Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Cooper's arrival was seen as a major coup for the Bills after they bought low on the WR. He made his debut in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks but didn't exactly show out. The hope was that he would progress in Week 9 against the Miami Dolphins. However, the Bills were handed a late blow ahead of a matchup against their division rivals with Cooper ruled out of the game.
Why isn't Amari Cooper playing today vs the Dolphins?
The Bills had a laundry list of injuries to be concerned about in the build-up to Week 9 and Amari Cooper was one of them.
The Bills' new recruit popped up on the injury report with a wrist injury and was a limited participant in practice all week. Cooper was officially listed as "questionable" with the injury and there was hope he would shrug off that injury with a matchup against a divisional rival looming.
However, the Bills appear to have taken a long-term view on Cooper, opting to sit him out of Week 9.
Miami Dolphins vs Buffalo Bills injury report for Week 9
In what will be a repeat of their Week 2 Thursday Night Football showdown when Tua Tagovailoa went down with an injury, it appears the Bills will be a little shorthanded this Sunday.
TE Dalton Kincaid complained of a collarbone and knee issue but is expected to suit up against Miami. However, Reggie Gilliam is out of this game with a hip injury.
For the Dolphins, CB Kader Kohou is out with a neck injury but they have a relatively clean bill of health for this divisional matchup.
