Will Levis draft stock: Colin Cowherd picks out biggest reason behind Kentucky QB's plummeting value

Will Levis might not be a top five pick in 2023 NFL Draft

Will Levis of Kentucky is one of the top quarterbacks available in this year's draft. Due to his powerful and explosive ability to throw the ball, Levis has drawn many comparisons to Josh Allen.

Despite this, there is a good probability Levis will not be a top-five pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Bryce Young and C.J. Stroud are likely to be taken with the first two picks, which could cause Levis to drop slightly.

Colin Cowherd recently highlighted an issue that could be the reason why Levis' draft stock has taken a hit. Here's what Cowherd said on his podcast:

"Somebody texted me in the league and said ‘Look how chiseled he is.’ He said ‘Name the great quarterbacks that are chiseled.’ They don't exist. You ever go, 'Do you ever go to the gym and see a weightlifter try to play basketball? How stiff they are.'
"No fluidity and in so this person said, 'This is a danger sign. He's jacked, he's ripped and he comes off sometimes as a little bit stiff. He doesn't come off as fluid and he's strong.'
"He's a smart kid but the Will Levis stuff is interesting because you know, there's so much about you like, Ivy League family, huge arm, you know, his numbers look like Eli Manning's out of Ole Miss."

Levis is jacked, but his physique is that of a modern-day quarterback. He has molded his body in such a way that it assists him in excelling at what he does, and this has become his identity.

He didn't have many problems in college, but the NFL is a very different environment. There is still time for the draft and perhaps people across the league will reevaluate Levis, who has a very high ceiling.

Will Levis projected to be drafted by the Raiders

Will Levis is predicted to be picked by the Las Vegas Raiders, according to different mock drafts. Although the Raiders recently signed Jimmy Garoppolo to a three-year contract, this may be done to give a youngster like Levis time to adjust to the league.

Garoppolo is a fantastic teammate and would be the ideal quarterback for a rookie to train under, and Levis could prove to be a good fit for the Raiders.

Levis is seen as a raw prospect, and a year or two as a backup might help him develop into a much better player than most people believe he is. During his college career, Levis played 34 games for Penn State and Kentucky in which he threw for 5,876 yards for 46 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.
