Deshaun Watson is expected to make his highly-anticipated debut for the Cleveland Browns in Week 13 of the 2022 NFL season after serving an 11 game suspension. He will face off against his former team, the Houston Texans, further adding to the intrigue of the situation.

Michael Vick has prior experience with making a controversial return to the NFL as Deshaun Watson is getting ready to do this week. Vick shared his thoughts on the situation during an episode of the 'Club Shay Shay' podcast with Shannon Sharpe:

"Don't take it personal, right? You know, especially when when it's it's self inflicted. And so you gotta roll with the punches, and you've got to accept your wrongs and move forward. And I think, for me, for a long time it was super emotional, right? I gotta take my emotions out of this, and I gotta look myself in the mirror and say, 'Okay, you know you made this bed, you gotta lay in it.' "

Vick continued:

"I think that's kind of the approach that he's got to take moving forward. And at the end of the day, he still has an opportunity to go out and play ball and do the things he loves to do, if that that's enough to clear his conscience. In a four-hour timespan, you're still gonna hear it, you're gonna get echoed, and you're gonna hear whispers."

Deshaun Watson was in a legal battle for more than a year as he dealt with many accusations of sexual misconduct. He was initially facing criminal charges, which eventually turned into 24 civil lawsuits. While he was never formally charged with anything and settled the lawsuits out of court, he still received an initial six-game suspension from the NFL.

Following an appeal by commissioner Roger Goodell and the NFL, an 11 game suspension was eventually agreed to. Including the bye week for the Cleveland Browns, Watson will be unavailable for the first 12 weeks of the 2022 NFL season. The suspension has been served and he is now eligible to be activated in Week 13.
