Dynasty Fantasy Football offers a unique twist to traditional season-long formats. Managers keep the same rosters over several years, so age becomes much more important when assessing fantasy value. Dynasty leagues also often feature a ton of movement in the trade market during the offseason. Using this, here are five players to buy and sell from the NFC West ahead of the 2024 NFL season.
Dynasty Fantasy Football NFC West Buys

#1. Jaxon Smith-Njigba
Jaxon Smith-Njigba was one of the most coveted rookies to target in Dynasty Fantasy Football last year. After receiving limited playing time, his stock has fallen a bit. This creates an opportunity to buy him for a cheaper price than last season. The Seattle Seahawks used a first-round pick on him, and with Tyler Lockett aging, this could be the year when he would break into a larger role.

#2. Kyren Williams
Kyren Williams missed time due to injuries last year but finished as the overall RB2 in fantasy points per game, trailing only Christian McCaffrey. Some managers may be hesitant to trust him this year after the Los Angeles Rams also drafted Blake Corum, but Williams' elite talent is worth investing in.
#3. Ricky Pearsall
The San Francisco 49ers drafted Ricky Pearsall to add depth to their wide receivers. This could be extremely useful for them if Brandon Aiyuk ends up getting traded due to his contract dispute. If this happens, Pearsall will likely have an opportunity to be a starting wide receiver in one of the best offenses in the NFL. This would significantly increase his fantasy football outlook.
#4. Zach Charbonnet
Zach Charbonnet only exceeded ten carries in three games for the Seattle Seahawks last season but finished among the top 20 weekly fantasy football running backs in two of them. His strong performances may have earned him a larger role for the 2024 NFL season despite currently still being behind Kenneth Walker III on their depth chart.
#5. Trey McBride
Trey McBride put together an excellent fantasy football season last year, finishing as the overall TE9. He also recorded seven weekly finishes among the top seven tight ends. While the Arizona Cardinals added Marvin Harrison Jr, they also moved on from "Hollywood" Brown, so McBride's workload shouldn't decrease. He is one of the best tight ends to target in Dynasty leagues at just 24 years old.
Dynasty Fantasy Football NFC West Sells

#1. James Conner
James Conner has been excellent in his three seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, finishing among the top 20 fantasy football running backs in all of them. The potential issue is that he is approaching 30 years old, and the team just drafted Trey Benson, one of the most talented rookie running backs this year. This creates a sell-high opportunity on Conner in Dynasty leagues.
#2. Cooper Kupp
Cooper Kupp has finished among the top five fantasy football wide receivers twice in the past five years with the Los Angeles Rams. Since his last time doing so, he has missed 13 games due to injuries over the past two years. Kupp seems to have been surpassed by Puka Nacua in the Rams' target hierarchy, so it may be time to cash in on the veteran before his value decreases even more.
#3. Tyler Lockett
Tyler Lockett had a down year in fantasy football last season, finishing as the overall WR33 after finishing among the top 15 wide receivers in each of the five seasons prior. His role is also expected to decrease this season, with Jaxon Smith-Njigba projected to get more playing time. Lockett's fantasy value may not ever go back up, so it's time to sell him.
#4. Brock Purdy
Brock Purdy qualifies as an ideal sell-high candidate in Dynasty Fantasy Football. He is coming off of an excellent season where he finished as the overall QB6 and nearly won the NFL MVP award. While he plays in a favorable system with the San Francisco 49ers, his upside could be limited by his lack of rushing contributions. He holds significant fantasy value, which may be best utilized in a trade.
#5. Brandon Aiyuk
Brandon Aiyuk has been connected to many trade rumors this year as he is in a contract dispute with the San Francisco 49ers. If he is, in fact, traded at some point, it's unclear what that will do to his fantasy value. To avoid the risk of being placed in a worse situation than he is now, he makes sense as a sell candidate.
