Top 3 NFL Stats Leaders After Week 15: Sacks

#3 (#T3) - Myles Garrett, Cleveland Browns, 15 sacks

Myles Garrett stays tied third on the NFL stats leaders list in sacks. He had one assisted tackle in the match against the Green Bay Packers, and it marked his second consecutive game that he did not record a single sack.

After hitting the highs at the beginning of the season, he seems to be running out of steam at the end. Given the issues the Cleveland Browns face on offense, they need him to be back in form to challenge better on both sides of the ball.

His current total stands at 15 sacks for 85 yards and 16 tackles for loss. He has 49 total tackles, 31 of which have been solo and 18 have been assisted. He has also recorded three pass deflections showcasing his ability to break down the play in multiple phases.

In addition to that, he has a fumble recovery, a forced fumble, and, uniquely among the NFL stats leaders here, one fumble returned for a touchdown.

#2 - Robert Quinn, Chicago Bears, 17 sacks

Robert Quinn did remain second on the list of NFL stats leader with sacks. But he positioned himself well for making a tilt at the top spot in the coming week. He recored one sack this week against the Seattle Seahawks and had one combined tackle. He is in a rich vein of form, and that has seen him gradually jump up the leaderboard rankings for NFL stats leaders. He has recorded five sacks in the last three games.

In total, he now has 17 sacks and is just half a sack behind the NFL stats leader overall. He has recorded 123 yards and 17 tackles for a loss. Furthermore, he has 47 total tackles, with 37 out of them being solo.

He does not have any pass deflections or interceptions but he has recorded three forced fumbles.

#1 - TJ Watt, Pittsburgh Steelers, 17.5 sacks

TJ Watt did not budge from the top of the NFL stats leaders list in sacks, but he missed the opportunity to add to his tally this week. He did not have a single sack and just had one combined tackle.

He remains on 17.5 sacks in total, which is an impressive tally in itself. He has 17 tackles for loss for 84 yards. He has 54 total tackles, 40 of them being solo. But his range really shines through, even among NFL stats leaders, when we look at the fact that he has had four pass deflections, four forced fumbles and three fumble recoveries.

If Watt were to discover the form he has shown throughout the season in his next game, he could yet pull away from the chasers.
