The NFL's new league season has begun, and rumors are flying about DeAndre Hopkins and Jerry Jeudy garnering the New England Patriots' attention.

Hopkins and Jeudy have been linked with the Dallas Cowboys as the need to find help for CeeDee Lamb is crucial. But now the Patriots have surfaced as another team interested in Hopkins and Jeudy.

Per Jeff Howe of The Athletic, the Patriots are in the market for a receiver to pair with Mac Jones, and while they have already moved to sign JuJu Smith-Schuster from the Kansas City Chiefs, they want more weapons.

As Howe mentioned, the price of each player will be the sticking point. Reports state that Hopkins' average yearly salary for the next two years is around $17 million, while Jeudy is coming to the end of the four-year deal he signed with the Denver Broncos.

Both are affordable, but which way the Patriots decide to go will depend on the lowest price.

It will likely depend on what the Patriots are after. Hopkins will be more expensive, but he is a known commodity in the NFL, and in truth, he could be the perfect receiver for Mac Jones.

His route running, knowledge of leverage, and ability to get open could be just the tonic for Jones to have a bounce-back year.

Meanwhile, Jeudy is far younger than Hopkins. Over time, the pair could develop a superb relationship. Possessing the home run threat that Hopkins doesn't, Jeudy could be seen as the guy to stretch the defense down the field.

With Smith-Schuster already signed, adding Jeudy could be a smart piece of business for New England.

It is quite a dilemma. Should the Patriots go for the veteran All-Pro receiver who still has juice in his legs or a younger receiver in the hopes that he can become what Hopkins is and is also cheaper right now?

These are decisions that the Patriots front office needs to make quickly, but in truth, either receiver could be a welcome addition to the New England offense.
