The second game of the 2024 NFL season will take place on Friday in Brazil between the Philadelphia Eagles and the Green Bay Packers. This will mark the first time in 54 years the NFL has scheduled a Week 1 game on Friday.
Even though the season has just begun and practically every player is available, several players are still limited by injury. Here is a look at some of Philadelphia's players' health status before the major showdown.

Philadelphia Eagles' injury report for Week 1
Linebacker Devin White and cornerback Isaiah Rodgers will be sidelined for the Philadelphia Eagles tonight due to injury.

Due to an ankle issue, White, who joined the Eagles after the 2023 season, will miss what would have been his first game for the Eagles. In addition, Rodgers — a potential starter on the team — is out due to a hand injury.
Former New Orleans Saints star Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean will start as the inside linebackers for the Eagles in White's absence.
Both guard Landon Dickerson and wide receiver A.J. Brown were listed on the report this week for the Eagles, although neither player was ever in danger of missing the contest.
They were only listed on the injury report due to their Tuesday non-injury-related rest days. They have both practiced in full on Wednesday and Thursday since then.
Isaiah Rodgers' injury status
Cornerback Isaiah Rodgers, due to a hand injury, will not play today in the Eagles' Week 1 matchup against the Packers in São Paulo, Brazil.
Rodgers, who was suspended for the whole 2023 NFL season for his betting on NFL games, joined the Eagles from the Indianapolis Colts in August 2023. Although he has already been named as a starter for the Eagles, he was limited during the team's Thursday walkthrough and was therefore ruled out of the team's opening game.
Rookie cornerback Quinyon Mitchell, selected by the Eagles in the first round of the draft in April out of the University of Toledo, is expected to start at cornerback alongside Darius Slay as Rodgers is ruled out of the game in Brazil.
Devin White's injury status
Linebacker Devin White didn't travel with the team. The team declared on Wednesday that the former star of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers would not be playing because of an ankle ailment.
The Eagles signed White in free agency this offseason to provide depth to their linebacker corps for this season, but he will now have to wait to make his team debut. White was named to the All-Pro second team in 2020 during his tenure with the Bucs.
The Eagles don't appear to have had a high workload scheduled for White against the Packers, even if he were healthy, so it makes sense to hold him out until he recovers completely.
Nakobe Dean and Zack Baun will most likely get the nod to play on Friday in the absence of White when the Eagles and Packers play the league's inaugural regular-season game in South America.
