Derek Carr addressed his future in the NFL with a goodbye message to his longtime Raiders fans.

Derek Carr officially addressed his future on Thursday morning in a post on Twitter. Carr, who has been with the Raiders for nine seasons, started by saying that he was heartbroken that he couldn't tell his fans goodbye in person.

With two weeks remaining in the season, the Raiders benched the veteran quarterback and started Jarrett Stidham. To avoid becoming a distraction to his team, the quarterback stepped away from the team.

He said in his statement that he has always given everything to the Raiders and that he loved being their quarterback. He said that he is looking forward to going to a new city next season and that he will give everything he has to his new team as well. His main goal will remain to win a championship no matter where he plays.

Raiders fans, who knew the inevitable was coming, were still heartbroken by the quarterback's goodbye message. Many blamed head coach Josh McDaniels, who they believe never wanted him to be the quarterback. Some even believe that Carr was used as a scapegoat for McDaniels' poor performance as a head coach.

The Las Vegas Raiders have begun the process of looking to trade quarterback Derek Carr. Carr has a full no-trade clause in his current contract, which means that he will have to approve of where he plays next season. There is no guaranteed money left on his contract, so finding a team that is interested in acquiring him shouldn't be that difficult.

Derek Carr said that he is looking forward to going to a team and winning the championship, so a team that is close to that point would be ideal. The New York Jets may be looking to move away from Zach Wilson and could be of interest. Perhaps even the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who may be without Tom Brady after this season.

The Raiders will most likely want draft picks in exchange for Carr as they try to build for the future. They will now have to make a decision about their future quarterback too. Whether Las Vegas decides to stick with Stidham, sign a veteran or draft a quarterback in the 2023 draft are all options.
