5. Alex Leatherwood, 17th overall, 2021 NFL Draft

Alex Leatherwood was drafted in 2021, and he's no longer on the roster in 2024, which is all you need to know. Leatherwood never made a meaningful contribution to the Raiders franchise.

To make matters worse, the Raiders' passed on several solid prospects in the later part of the first round. Such prospects include two-time Super Bowl champion Kadarius Toney, Najee Harris, Travis Ettienne and Greg Newsome.

4. Gareon Conley, 24th overall, 2017 NFL Draft

Fresh off their first postseason appearance in 14 seasons, the Las Vegas Raiders drafted Gareon Conley with a late first-round pick. The Ohio State Buckeyes product had severe character concerns in college, so his selection raised a few eyebrows in Las Vegas.

Conley had a few standout moments in Las Vegas but never won over the fans. During his third season in the league, he was traded to the Houston Texans for a third-round pick.

3. Clelin Ferrell, 4th overall, 2019 NFL Draft

Forgive us, but we'll always need to understand the rationale behind taking Clelin Ferrell with the fourth overall pick of the 2019 Draft. There were so many potential stars left on the board.

The Raiders passed on future Pro Bowlers Josh Allen, TJ Hockenson, Brian Burns and two-time MVP Lamar Jackson.

2. Damon Arnette, 19th overall, 2020 NFL Draft

Damon Arnette was drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft, and he kept getting into more trouble. A few years later, he's out of the NFL with next to zero chances of making a comeback.

Arnette was a decent college talent, but most people saw him as a day-two choice in the draft. However, the Raiders' front office drafted him in the first round of the ill-fated 2020 draft. Arnette has been arrested several times during his brief NFL career and has passed up numerous comeback opportunities.

1. Henry Ruggs III, 12th overall, 2020 NFL Draft

The story of Henry Ruggs is a sad one of wasted potential and an ultimately avoidable tragedy. The pacy wide receiver had a decent start to his NFL career, but it was ultimately cut short due to a ghastly accident that took the lives of a woman and her dog.

Ruggs is behind bars and takes the first spot on the list of worst Las Vegas Raiders picks of the past ten years.
