Here are the top five running backs who are set to become free agents in the 2022 NFL offseason.

#3 - James Conner

James Conner was a legitimate weapon in the Arizona Cardinals offense during the 2021 NFL season. Conner ran for just 752 yards, yet racked up 15 rushing touchdowns, the second most in the NFL. He also added another three receiving touchdowns, showing his dual-threat potential. Conner finished the season as the Cardinals leader in total touchdowns, while on his way to a Pro Bowl selection.

#4 - Cordarrelle Patterson

Cordarrelle Patterson is one of the most dynamic players available in the 2022 free agent class. He is a hybrid between a back and wide receiver while also being excellent in the return game. He recorded 1,166 offensive yards and 11 touchdowns during the most productive season of his career.

#5 - Sony Michel

Sony Michel filled in for the Los Angeles Rams as their starting running back after both Cam Akers and Darrell Henderson suffered injuries. His consistent production was a huge factor in the Rams winning the Super Bowl this season. He chipped in with 973 offensive yards and five touchdowns during the 2021 regular season.
