Rob Gronkowski was riding in the backseat for the majority of 2021 NFL playoffs, but the real 'Gronk' finally showed up during Super Bowl LV. When Tom Brady found Rob Gronkowski for the first touchdown of the game it started to feel like the Patriots.

Let us not forget that Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady led the New England Patriots to a lot of Super Bowls throughout their time in New England. When the Tampa Bay Buccaneers called the tight end out of retirement they thought he was going to make an instant impact.

It took a little bit of time for Gronkowski to shake the cobwebs from being retired from football. Rob Gronkowski and Tom Brady passed Joe Montana and Jerry Rice for the most touchdowns in the NFL playoffs by a quarterback and wide receiver combo. Gronkowski was the difference maker for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV.

2) Todd Bowles made tremendous adjustments on defense

If coaches could win the Super Bowl MVP, Todd Bowles should be the 2021 Super Bowl MVP. The adjustments that he made for Super Bowl LV were tremendous. Bowles' defense gave up 269 receiving yards and three touchdowns to Tyreek Hill in Week 12.

Hill was held in check throughout the whole game against the Buccaneers in Super Bowl LV. The Buccaneers secondary held Tyreek Hill to just 73 receiving yards. A lot of the receiving yards were because the Buccaneers were playing soft coverage towards the end of the game.

Once Todd Bowles took away the big play capability of Tyreek Hill, it put the Chiefs in a difficult situation. The Kansas City Chiefs offense is a three headed snake. Patrick Mahomes, Tyreek Hill, and Travis Kelce make up the three heads of the snake.

Tampa Bay's defense knocked out one of the heads in Tyreek Hill. The next step was eliminating Patrick Mahomes' ability to extend plays. The pressure that Tampa Bay put on Mahomes made it difficult for him to do much of anything during Super Bowl LV.

Todd Bowles became the first defensive coordinator to completley shut down the Kansas City Chiefs offense. His adjustments that he made from Week 12 to Super Bowl LV were amazing. It was like night and day watching the two games between the Chiefs and Buccaneers.
