Terry Pegula is one of the wealthiest businessmen in America. The Buffalo Bills owner has made a small fortune with his sports company, Pegula Sports and Entertainment.

Pegula has also managed to grow his wealth by investing in fracking, natural gas development and real estate. According to Forbes, the sports mogul's net worth stands at a whopping $6.7 billion as of February 2023.

He graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a BS in Engineering. Soon after he finished university, Pegula began working for Getty Oil before branching out on his own.

Terry made it big when he founded East Resources, a natural gas drilling company, in 1983. At the time, he took a $7,500 loan from friends and family to start his operations.

Twenty-seven years later, he sold East Resources to Royal Dutch Shell for a staggering $4.7 billion.

He used part of those funds to purchase the Buffalo Sabres of the NHL and the Buffalo Bandits lacrosse team for $189 million.

On September 9, 2014, it was revealed that Pegula led a group of investors to win the bid to purchase the NFL's Buffalo Bills. Since taking over ownership of the franchise, the Bills have made it to the playoffs five times.

Many Buffalo fans believe that Pegula could be the man to lead them to their first Super Bowl title. However, the 71-year-old will have his work cut out to lead his team to glory.

Terry Pegula has five kids. He has two children, Laura and Michael, from his first marriage to Anne Shirley.

He also shares three children with his current wife Kim. Their names are Jessica, Kelly and Matthew.

Jessica is a professional tennis player and is currently ranked #4 in the latest ATP women's singles rankings.
