Aaron Rodgers potentially heading to the New York Jets has easily been one of the top headlines this offseason. A major reason why the Jets are in the market for a quarterback is the play of Zach Wilson. Wilson was the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft and hasn't lived up to expectations thus far as a franchise quarterback.

TikTok star Nico of Elite Takes posted a video to the social media platform asserting that Wilson is at fault for the Jets going all-in for Rodgers.

Nico said:

“Derek Carr goes ahead and says screw y'all. I'm going to the team that actually wanted me from the start. So, where does that leave the Jets scrambling to get their owner, head Coach, general manager, and offensive coordinator all on a private plane. The very next day to meet with Aaron Rodgers. Look at what Zach Wilson has done to these people.
"They literally flew all the way across the country to meet with him in California begging on their knees. Joe Nemeth said that he would unretire number 12 if it meant that this man would play for the Jets. You've got Sauce Gardner out here writing apologies to him on Twitter for how badly he humiliated the Packers last season."

Nico added:

"Breece Hall is out here begging for him to manifest in it. That is crazy. You can't forget they hired his old buddy Nathaniel Hackett to be their offensive coordinator literally at the lowest point of his career. I have never seen a team so desperate to get a man to be their quarterback. What have you done, young man you have turned these people into monsters.”

Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers could be heading for a split after 18 seasons. The last season witnessed them finishing them with a losing 8-9 record.

Comparing Aaron Rodgers and Zach Wilson's 2022 season

Rodgers and his 2022 season saw him lead the Packers to their first losing season since 2018. The Super Bowl XLV MVP threw for 3,695 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions. It marked the first time that the Packers star has thrown double-digit interceptions in a season since 2010, his third season as the team's starter.

Zach Wilson missed the first three games of last season due to a knee meniscus tear injury. The former BYU star was benched by New York Jets head coach Robert Saleh in favour of Mike White and Joe Flacco. In all, Wilson started nine games for the Jets, throwing for 1,688 yards, six touchdowns, and seven interceptions.

As the offseason unfolds, will Aaron Rodgers find himself in a Jets uniform with Wilson on the way out?
