Week 6 of the 2024 fantasy football season kicks off with a Thursday Night Football showdown between the San Francisco 49ers and Seattle Seahawks. Both teams have featured strong offensive units this year, which has translated to many of their players being legitimate lineup options. Here are the biggest ones to target and fade in the opening game of this week's slate.
TNF Seahawks vs 49ers Fantasy Football Week 6 Start 'Em picks

The Seattle Seahawks and San Francisco 49ers are loaded with offensive weapons that are all relevant in 2024 fantasy football lineups. The challenge is that both teams have solid defenses as well, which limits the upside for many of those players. Their superstars will still be in the spotlight and give managers plenty of options to work with this week.

George Kittle is one of the best overall tight ends to use in Week 6 lineups. He ranks as the overall TE10 this year despite missing a game with an injury. He has also been ranked as the weekly TE4 or better in each of his past three games, so his hot streak makes him an elite target.
Kenneth Walker III is another option this week after finishing among the top ten weekly fantasy football running backs in three of his four games this year. While the 49ers defense presents a difficult matchup, Walker finished as the RB2 when he faced the Detroit Lions, one of the best-rushing defenses in the NFL. This significantly brightens his fantasy outlook this week.
Here is who joins them as Week 6 targets:
Must Starts
- Jordan Mason
- Kenneth Walker III
- Deebo Samuel
- DK Metcalf
- George Kittle
DFS Picks
- George Kittle
- Jaxon Smith-Njigba
- Kenneth Walker III
TNF Seahawks vs 49ers Fantasy Football Week 6 Sit 'Em picks

Tyler Lockett has finished among the top 15 overall fantasy football wide receivers in five of the past six years but has struggled during the 2024 season. He ranks as just the WR48, and in a tough matchup against the 49ers, he is better off avoided in Week 6 lineups.
Brock Purdy is another player who should be faded this week against the Seahawks' solid passing defense. His fantasy numbers have been disappointing this year as well, with just one multi-touchdown game and finishing outside of the top 12 quarterbacks in four of his five games.
Here's who joins them as Week 6 fades:
Must Sits
- Brock Purdy
- Zach Charbonnet
- Tyler Lockett
- Jauan Jennings
- Noah Fant
DFS Fades
- Brock Purdy
- Geno Smith
- Brandon Aiyuk
