Tre Tucker had the game of his life in Week 3, making him the most obvious addition of the week. However, many other players also have strong cases to be made. The middle of the week is when championships are won and lost. Here's how you can win the waiver wire heading into Week 4.

1] Ollie Gordon II, Miami Dolphins

Ollie Gordon II was a logical Week 1 choice due to things lining up swimmingly. However, in a light week on the running back front, Gordon is one backup coming off his best game of the season. As such, adding him makes sense if you are desperate for a running back.

2] Cam Skattebo, New York Giants

Tyrone Tracy is set to miss time due to injury, which opens the door for rookie running back Cam Skattebo. Skattebo has had double-digit carries in two of three games this season, including 6.0 yards per carry against the Kansas City Chiefs in a game the Giants were down in for much of the contest.

He won't be available in every league, but if you are in one of the lucky ones, be sure to snatch up the running back coming off a 1,700-yard season in 2024 with the Arizona State Sun Devils.

Waiver Wire WR adds for Week 4

1] Tre Tucker, Las Vegas Raiders

The most obvious addition of the week, Tre Tucker is coming off a 42.9-point game and his second double-digit showing of the season. The 42.9 points likely will live on as Tre Tucker's best game of the year, but it raises the ceiling on him into WR2 or even a low-end WR1 heading into Week 4.

It appears Tre Tucker and Geno Smith have plenty of chemistry, but beware: other teams are now informed about Tucker. The question is whether schemes will be able to stomp him out or if this is the beginning of a new revelation in the AFC West. Either way, Tre Tucker is an obvious top waiver wire addition.

2] Sterling Shepard, Tampa Bay Buccaneers

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have one of the most loaded wide receiver rooms in the NFL, but it appears they also have one of the most banged-up. Chris Godwin is likely to miss another week, and with Mike Evans also less than 100%, adding Sterling Shepard after an 80-yard day is logical. Evans is dealing with the dreaded hamstring injury, according to a Sept. 22 CBS Sports report.

Even if one of the two returns, Shepard could still enjoy extra targets from Baker Mayfield in Week 5. Keep in mind, this will likely be a one or two-week rental, but it could be a lucrative rental. Of course, he's no Tre Tucker, but he can fill a spot on your roster.

3] Hunter Renfrow, Carolina Panthers

The former Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver is tiptoeing into alternating boom and bust weeks. Week 4 is setting up to be a boom week for the wide receiver. Two weeks ago, Renfrow earned seven catches for 48 yards and two touchdowns. After a down week, we'll know for certain if he's in for a boom week

It would be wise to get in front of it, as the Week 5 waiver wire could be ultra competitive if he hits again. The Carolina Panthers play the New England Patriots, which saw backup receiver Tre Tucker turn in a double-digit performance in Week 1.

1] Brenton Strange, Jacksonville Jaguars

Brenton Strange is a stranger to most managers, but he shouldn't be heading into Week 4. Currently the 15th-best tight end, he has seen his targets increase every week this season, culminating in seven targets and six catches for 61 yards.

He hasn't hit paydirt in the endzone yet, but it feels like he's getting close. Even without a touchdown, he earned 12.1 points in Week 3 against the Houston Texans.

2] Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans

If you need a tight end and Brenton Strange is taken, Dalton Schultz is a quality option. Unlike many tight ends, he has managed to score at least five points per game this season and is coming off his most productive day yet.

Schultz earned 8.9 points against the Jacksonville Jaguars and appears to offer consistency. If you're tired of boom-or-bust players, Schultz might be the safest pick on the waiver wire for tight ends.
