What NFL teams did Deion Sanders play for?

Chicago Bears v Baltimore Ravens
Deion Sanders is currently a coach

Deion Sanders, better known as 'Prime', is an American football coach who was formally a player in the NFL. A lockdown defensive back, Sanders was one of the, if not the, best cornerback in history. He led two of his sides to Super Bowl triumphs and was elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility.

Sanders more than earned his nickname Prime, as he was known to alter games with his lockdown defense at prime time.

Sanders played for five teams during his time in the NFL. He played for the following teams: Atlanta Falcons (1989-1994), the San Francisco 49ers (1994-1995), Dallas Cowboys (1995-2000), Washington Redskins (2000-2001), and the Baltimore Ravens (2004-2006).

The Hall of Famer brought Super Bowl victories to two of those teams in back-to-back years, namely the San Francisco 49ers and the Dallas Cowboys.

How good was Deion Sanders?

Two words, insanely awesome! Deion Sanders, in his prime, was arguably the best defensive player in the league, and even off prime, he was a problem. No wide receiver wanted to have a face off with Sanders back in the day, and offensive coordinators never did find a way around him in his heyday.

Even as a head coach, Sanders is doing fantastic work. The recently appointed University of Colorado coach has been nothing short of magical in his college coaching career. He brought more swag, visibility, and funds to Jackson State University and the entire SWAC, and he did this in under two seasons.

Deion Sanders' NFL career stats

Deion Sanders was a threat anywhere he lined up on the Gridiron, with the Hall of Famer catching and deflecting passes, and rushing the ball at an elite clip. However, here we'll focus on his defensive stats since that was his primary position.

Sanders put up a career defensive stat line of 296 tackles (270 solo and 26 assisted), one sack, and 53 interceptions in 188 regular season games. Moreover, he played in under ten season games twice in his career, a rarity for a player in his position.
