When will Eli Manning join his brother in the Pro Football Hall of Fame?

For Eli Manning, induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame is a matter of when. The quarterback, who played his entire career with the New York Giants, retired in 2019 after 16 seasons in the league. He is widely regarded among the best to ever play in the NFL.

Whenever Eli becomes a Hall of Famer, he definitely won't be the first inductee from the Manning dynasty. His brother, Peyton Manning, a five-time NFL MVP winner, was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2021. Eli Manning could likely be the next one, but when?

Eli Manning's NFL Career Roundup

Manning was selected as the first overall pick in the 2004 NFL draft by the San Diego Chargers. However, due to his refusal to play for the team, he was traded to the New York Giants. The quarterback signed a six-year rookie deal worth $45 million with the franchise.

Despite not playing much in his rookie season, Manning became a force to reckon with starting his second season with the Giants. The Ole Miss alum went on to become an important player for the franchise, winning the Super Bowl on two occasions.

Manning holds the New York Giants franchise record for passing yards, touchdown passes, and pass completions. The quarterback never missed a game due to injury and started 210 consecutive regular-season games from 2004 to 2017, the third longest in NFL history.

The Giants legend won the Super Bowl MVP twice and was a four-time Pro Bowler. As was done in his honor at Ole Miss, Manning's number 10 jersey was retired by the New York Giants after the end of his playing days in the NFL.

Eli Manning Hall of Fame Probability

Except for scenarios that could warrant disqualification, Eli Manning is expected to become a Pro Football Hall of Famer at some point in the future. However, just like it is for every other player, there's no certainty concerning when it will be.

As per the Pro Football Hall of Fame requirements, players must be five years into retirement before they are eligible for induction. Manning retired in 2020, which means the earliest the former Giants quarterback can be inducted is 2025.

The Hall of Fame process is highly competitive, and even some of the most accomplished players have to wait several years before being inducted. However, considering the career Manning had, it's probable that he will eventually become an inductee one day.
