The bond between Tom Brady and Bill Belichick has received a lot of attention in the past, particularly since Brady moved away from the New England Patriots following the 2020 season. In the past few days, talks about their relationship have intensified due to new speculation that the former New England quarterback might eventually return as a free agent the following season.

Brady will be a free agent once his deal with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers runs out at the end of this season, so he won't automatically have to play for his current team to continue playing beyond his 23rd season.

Brady's future depends on whether he decides to retire, play another season for either the Patriots or Buccaneers, or move on and compete for a third team.

Tom Brady will have the chance to decide for himself, at least to a more considerable extent. It was rumored that his divorce resulted from his decision to keep playing after he initially announced that he would retire after last season.

Will Tom Brady resign with the Bucs?

It would take a lot to convince Brady to re-sign, given Tampa Bay's offensive struggles this year after the departure of Bruce Arians. With many of the same tools they had as a Super Bowl contender, the offensive unit has been dreadful, and it is simply not cutting it as the squad continues to have difficulty moving the ball and scoring regularly. Brady might give the Buccaneers another chance if they can assure him they will try to turn this situation around.

It is undeniable that the Buccaneers still possess the potential necessary to compete next season if Tom Brady re-signs with them, despite their abject showing this year.

Will Tom Brady play for a third team?

Brady is from California, and his beloved childhood team was the San Francisco 49ers. When he left the Patriots in 2020, he intended to join the 49ers, but they had just won the Super Bowl with Jimmy Garoppolo, who had just inked a five-year, $137 million deal in 2018.

Currently positioned as a big competitor, the San Francisco 49ers would be intriguing, mainly if Jimmy Garoppolo leaves in the offseason and Trey Lance isn't yet fit enough to return to the starting lineup.

The weapons that Brady would find appealing are available to the Niners, thanks to Christian McCaffrey, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle, and Deebo Samuel.

The New York Jets have also been brought up since they have recently made some significant advancements under head coach Robert Saleh. Given that Zach Wilson has been a flop thus far, they will undoubtedly be considered genuine contenders with regular play calling.

Will Tom Brady return to New England?

Brady won the Super Bowl in Tampa Bay in 2020, demonstrating that he could succeed without the assistance of Bill Belichick. However, Brady's ideal finale might be to end it where it all started.
