Katherine was crowned Miss Alabama USA in 2012 and has ranked in the top ten of several other beauty contests; in 2008, she advanced to the semi-finals of Miss Georgia USA and finished in the top 10 of Miss USA 2012.

In 2013, Katherine gained notoriety when a football analyst praised her attractiveness while covering one of McCarron's performances. The analyst said, "You quarterbacks get all the good women," and was criticized for his sexist remarks by the press at the time.

Katherine then appeared in the renowned Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition after ESPN eventually apologized to her for the "sexist comments."

Donald Trump recruited Webb to serve as a guest at his Miss USA beauty contest in 2013, during which everyone talked about her.

After quitting modeling, Katherine Webb-McCarron is currently devoted to creating art. She creates drawings and paintings in her leisure time from her home in Alabama.

Before getting married, AJ McCarron and Webb had been courting each other for two years. In July 2014, they wed at the United Methodist Church in Orange Beach.
