Who is Darius Slay's wife, Jennifer? All you need to know about Eagles CB's family

Darius Slay has been an integral part of the Eagles' defense over the last three seasons. Yet, there are rumors swirling that the star cornerback is being shopped around in the trade market. The rumors aren't sitting well with his wife, model and social media influencer Jennifer Slay.

She took to Twitter to express her thoughts on the rumors and didn't hold back. Jennifer went after a fan who said her husband was on the decline and that general manager Howie Roseman was right regarding his contract.

In 2015, Darius first met Jennifer, when she was a senior at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. She played Division II basketball and scored 491 points, 121 rebounds, and 17 steals in 51 career games at the University.

Darius Slay and Jennifer Slay have five children together. The couple welcomed their daughter Desirae in 2017 and their son Desmond in 2021. Darion and Demetrius are the Philadelphia Eagles star's sons from a prior relationship, while Jennifer has a son named Trent.

As of now, Jennifer has been the five-time Pro Bowler's biggest supporter since joining the Eagles ahead of the 2020 season. She has never been afraid to show up to home games in his No. 2 jersey.

Slay is in the final year of his contract and is due to make a salary of $17 million in the 2023 season. The question is, would the Eagles be willing to move on from the All-Pro this offseason?

Should the Eagles trade Darius Slay this offseason?

For Philadelphia, trading someone of Darius Slay's caliber is a difficult choice to make. The 32-year-old has accumulated 29 passes defended, seven interceptions, and 133 tackles in his time with the franchise. However, his contract carries a $26.1 million cap hit for the Eagles.

It's important to note that Slay himself isn't seeking a trade. This offseason will be challenging as Howie Roseman must decide whether to keep Slay as the Eagles' defense was one of the best in the NFL last season. We'll see what he does as the offseason unfolds.
