Who is DeMeco Ryans' wife, Jamila Ryans? A closer look at the Texans HC's personal life

DeMeco Ryans has done a fantastic job since taking over as the San Francisco 49ers' defensive coordinator in 2021. The 38-year-old helped the Niners reach the NFC Championship game this season and is now being considered as the next head coach for the Denver Broncos and also the Houston Texans.

Since the spotlight is on Ryans at the moment, fans have been curious to learn more about his personal life and his wife, Jamila.

According to reports, DeMeco met Jamila while playing for the Houston Texans. They married in Pearland, Texas, on June 29, 2013.

The couple has three children together: two sons named MJ and Micah and one daughter named Xia. Jamila also has two younger brothers named Jonathan and Jason White.

Jamila prefers to stay away from the spotlight and is not on social media. She is a registered nurse, which suggests that she has a medical background. Jamila is also a non-profit director at the DeMeco Ryans Foundation.

She has been alongside her husband throughout his incredible football journey as an NFL player and now as a coach.

DeMeco Ryans' coaching career with the San Francisco 49ers

Ryans was hired by the 49ers as a defensive quality control coach in the 2017 offseason. He was then promoted to inside linebackers coach the following year.

After Robert Saleh departed from the team in January 2021, Ryans was promoted to defensive coordinator for San Francisco. Since then, he has done an incredible job for the team.

During the 2022 regular season, the Niners conceded the least amount of points in the NFC as San Francisco clinched their divisional title. Much of their success has been down to Ryans' tactics and setting up the defense.

San Francisco will face the Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field in their NFC Championship game on Sunday.
