Who is Shalonda Mixon? Joe Mixon's sister named as suspect in shooting incident

Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon is not a suspect in the shooting that happened at his home on Monday.

According to incident reports via ESPN, several juveniles were reportedly playing a game called "dart wars" which involves toys called NERF Guns. According to reports, the juveniles were playing outside Mixon's house at around 8:30 pm when the game took a dark turn.

A suspect, who couldn't be identified, allegedly fired 11 shots from Mixon's backyard and one of the bullets struck one of the juveniles (a 16-year-old boy) in the foot.

After the incident, a black Honda Accord was seen leaving the running back's house. Police stopped the car shortly after. TMZ.com reports that's where 34-year-old Shalonda Mixon (Joe Mixon's sister) and a man named Lemonte Brewer were identified as suspects in the shooting.

Per her Instagram page, Shalonda Mixon is a certified body sculptor. She specializes in Laser Lipo, Cavitation, RF Skin Tightening, Wood Therapy, Lymphatic Message, Infrared Blanket, and Yesoterapia.

As mentioned above, Mixon is not listed as a suspect and per ESPN.com, no charges or arrests have been made at this time over the shooting incident.

Several news outlets initially reported that such was the gravity of the situation that police had even taped off Joe Mixon's house. It was later taken down though.

Mixon is yet to comment on the situation publicly, likely as he looks to gather all the relevant information regarding what exactly happened at his house.

Nonetheless, Shalonda remains a suspect at the time of writing as further word from the authorities is awaited.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt as the entire situation could have been a lot worse.
