CeeDee Lamb and fines appear to be becoming a common thing in the NFL. The Dallas Cowboys star wide receiver was punished with a $25,324 fine after his actions in Week 4 against the New York Giants.

NFL insider Tom Pelissero reports that the league slapped the receiver with the fine due to two unsportsmanlike conduct violations against the Giants. One of them was for taunting after he scored a touchdown following a good play on two defenders.

Pelissero added that Lamb was fined $11,255 for taunting and $14,069 for unsportsmanlike conduct/violent gesture after a first-quarter play when he got the first down. After catching the ball, he made a gun gesture with his two hands.

Lamb still had a good outing against the Giants, catching seven passes on eight targets, collecting 98 receiving yards and one touchdown. He carried the ball three times for eight rushing yards to take his total yards to 106.

The Cowboys got the 20-15 win against a divisional rival to level their record at two wins and two losses.

The Cowboys have had a tumultuous start to the season, beating two inconsistent teams in the Cleveland Browns and New York Giants but getting dismantled by the New Orleans Saints and facing a 28-6 deficit against the Baltimore Ravens that was ultimately cut to 28-25 after they scored 19 points in the fourth quarter of Week 3. It was during this game that Lamb's issues with the league started.

CeeDee Lamb has been fined for the second consecutive week

This isn't the first time the wide receiver has been fined this season. On Saturday, September 28, the NFL fined CeeDee Lamb $22,511 for spearing Ravens safety Kyle Hamilton onto the ground with his helmet. At the time the play occurred, no flag was thrown, but the league rectified the decision and punished Lamb.

Fans didn't like this decision and started criticizing the league for allegedly "stealing" money from players with these fines. Unlike his game against the Giants, Lamb had a discreet performance against the Ravens. He only had four receptions for 67 receiving yards and zero touchdowns in the loss. If that wasn't enough, he lost a fumble and dropped a pass.

For the season, he's recorded 20 receptions for 316 receiving yards and two receiving touchdowns. The Cowboys face another AFC North team, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Sunday night, hoping to see Lamb end this undesired streak.
