Odell Beckham Jr. is highly sought after by the Dallas Cowboys, according to numerous media outlets.

OBJ has also teased on social media that he’s interested in linking up with Dak Prescott in Dallas. He’s been a free agent ever since leaving the Los Angeles Rams at the end of the 2021 season. That season, of course, ended in a Super Bowl win for the Rams, where Beckham caught a touchdown before a devastating ACL injury.

He’s only recently been cleared to play following the injury lay-off, but here are three reasons the Cowboys should look to sign Odell Beckham Jr.

#1 - He’s a playmaker

The Cowboys are starting to get hot on offense under Dak Prescott, with Tony Pollard at running back impressing fans across the NFL in 2022. However, they lost Amari Cooper via trade during the offseason and haven’t yet replaced him.

CeeDee Lamb and Michael Gallup have been solid for the Cowboys, but adding OBJ to the mix will only help Prescott as well as the entire receiving corps.

Beckham had five touchdown grabs in just seven regular-season starts for the Rams last year. He also had two in four playoff games. He’s clearly still got a lot to offer and should be a top priority for Dallas owner Jerry Jones.

#2 - OBJ is a superstar

Jerry Jones is known for being a fan of flashy moves, so picking up one of the most recognizable players in the NFL seems like a no-brainer.

Ever since his unbelievable catch, coincidentally against the Cowboys back in 2014, OBJ has been a superstar. He has 16.7 million followers on Instagram, nearly four million clear of the next most-followed NFL player, Tom Brady.

Picking up OBJ on a short-term contract could prove to be a huge commercial success for Dallas.

#3 - He’s friendly with Cowboys players

Over the last few weeks, Beckham Jr. has dropped some subtle hints on Twitter about his next destination.

Following the Cowboys' blowout 40-3 win over the Minnesota Vikings, OBJ tweeted both Micah Parsons and DeMarcus Lawrence and sang praises of fellow wide receiver CeeDee Lamb.

He’s clearly a great guy to have in the locker room, and someone with experience who can help develop young talent such as Lamb and Parsons.
