Tom Brady does it again!

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers were down 16-3 against the New Orleans Saints with only 5:31 left in the fourth quarter, but two touchdown drives from Brady and the offense helped the home side register an improbable win on Monday Night Football.

The Buccaneers improved to 6-6 with this win over the Saints and took a massive step towards winning the NFC South division title. This was Tom Brady's 44th fourth-quarter comeback win, one more than the quarterback's former rival and Hall of Famer Peyton Manning.

Following the win, ESPN commentators Joe Buck and Troy Aikman dubbed Brady the undisputed GOAT of the NFL. Fans, analysts, players, and even the NFL's official Twitter account reiterated that Brady is the GOAT:

But why is Brady called the GOAT?

Tom Brady, the Greatest of All Time

GOAT is an internet slang, which is an abbreviation for Greatest Of All Time. Tom Brady is often called the GOAT because his status as the greatest player in NFL history is undisputed.

Brady's seven Super Bowl wins are not only the most by any player but also more than any team in NFL history. The New England Patriots, with whom Brady won six Super Bowls, and the Pittsburgh Steelers are the most successful teams in league history with six Lombardi trophies. The Buccaneers quarterback also holds the record for most Super Bowl MVPs with five, two more than Hall of Fame quarterback Joe Montana, who won three.

Brady is also #1 in almost every statistical category for quarterbacks in the NFL. He holds the record for most passing yards, touchdowns, and wins. The same is true for the NFL playoffs. Brady also holds the record for passing yards, touchdowns, and wins for any player in NFL playoffs history. Brady also has the record for most division title wins by a quarterback.

If there's an NFL record that a quarterback can own, odds are it's Brady's.

Tom Brady is undoubtedly the greatest of all time, aka the GOAT.
