The San Francisco 49ers will be keen to have wideout Deebo Samuel healthy and ready for their pivotal Week 8 game against the Dallas Cowboys, considering that key offensive players like wideout Brandon Aiyuk and running back Christian McCaffrey have already been ruled out due to injuries for that game.
Samuel was listed as questionable to play on Sunday Night Football in the Niners' third and final injury report released on Friday. However, club supporters are still hoping that he will recover from the illness and wrist problems he has been dealing with all week before kickoff.

Will Deebo Samuel play on Sunday night against the Cowboys?
San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan has said that Deebo Samuel still has a chance to play on Sunday night, even though the wideout didn't log any full participation in practice all week. Shanahan's statement raises the possibility that Samuel will participate in the game, even though it does not guarantee it.

After the game against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night, Samuel was admitted to the hospital with pneumonia; however, he took part in limited practices in the last two sessions on Thursday and Friday. He is questionable to play in the Sunday Night Football game.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan responded,
"It's gotten better each day," when questioned about Samuel's stamina during the week.
"We didn't push him that hard knowing what the issue is, but it has gotten better each day. That's why I'm hoping that continues for Sunday," Shanahan concluded.
If Samuel plays against the Cowboys on Sunday, he will undoubtedly be the 49ers' No. 1 wide receiver, especially with Brandon Aiyuk sidelined for the remainder of the season after suffering an ACL and MCL injury last week.
Along with Aiyuk, the 49ers will be without Jauan Jennings on Sunday due to a hip injury that will keep him out of action for the second consecutive game. This could result in more workload for rookie receivers Jacob Cowing and Ricky Pearsall against the Cowboys.
