Manimaran Siddharth is an up and coming talent from Tamil Nadu born on 3 July 1998. The slow eft-arm orthodox bowler had a breakout domestic season and will be looking to level up in this years IPL after being selcted by Kolkata Knight Riders.

Manimaran Siddharth made his Twenty20 debut on 22 November 2019, for Tamil Nadu in the 2019–20 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. His debut was magical as he claimed four wicket haul in his stipulated quota of 4 overs. He took big wickets of Prithvi Shaw, Shreyas Iyer, Siddhesh Lad and Suryakumar Yadav as Tamil Nadu won the match by a thumping 9 wickets. He followed it up with a 4/18 against Jharkhand, rattling the middle order by removing Sumit Kumar, Utkarsh Singh, Anukul Roy and Anand Singh. He later made his first-class debut on 9 December 2019, for Tamil Nadu in the 2019–20 Ranji Trophy against Karnataka where he took three wickets through the course of the match. However, Karnataka won the match by 26 runs. Siddharth also played in Tamil Nadu Premier League where he picked up 5 wickets in 7 matches for Chepauk Super Gillies last season.
The Tamil Nadu youngster attracted a bid from Kolkata Knight Riders for his brilliant run with the ball in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and was sold to the franchise for INR 20 lakhs. It would be difficult for him to break into the playing XI this season but it will be a huge learning curve for him playing alongside the likes of Kuldeep Yadav and Sunil Narine.
