Appearance

It features a tiny, triangular dark-blue ear on either side of its spherical white head. Oshawott has black eyes and a horizontally oval-shaped dark-orange nose. It has many freckles on its cheeks that may be premature whiskers, and when it opens its mouth, two sharp teeth can be seen. The light blue fur on its body forms bubble shapes around its neck. It has white and rounded arms, and dark blue feet with three toes each. It also has a dark blue tail that looks like a rudder. On its belly is a pale-yellow seashell known as a "scalchop." This shell, which is composed of the same substance as its claws, is useful for both combat and cracking hard fruit. In overall appearance, it resembles a sea-otter.

Behavior

Oshawott is mostly mischievous and slightly aggressive. Upon feeling bored, they play with their Scalchop, making a "pound" sound. Its scalchop can be removed from its belly and used as a sword for specific attacks, such as Razor Shell, and can also be used to deflect attacks.

Strengths and Weaknesses

Oshawott is strong against Steel, Fire, Water, and Ice type moves equally such that it only takes half the normal damage from each of them. On the other hand, Oshawott is weak against Grass and Electric type moves taking twice the normal damage from both of them.

Shiny Oshawott:

Oshawott Shiny is among the many Pokemon creatures that trainers will be able to catch in Pokemon Go. Oshawott are likely to have a high spawn rate in the wild, preferably in rainy weather conditions as it is a water-type Pokemon. Trainers can also encounter this Pokemon in 2 km eggs, raids, and research encounters. Shiny Pokemon in the wild will only appear at around a 1:450 or 1:500 encounter rate.

Ash's Oshawott:

Ash's Oshawott - Bulbapedia, the community-driven Pokémon encyclopedia

Ash's Oshawott is a Water-type Pokémon owned by Ash. He is the second Pokémon obtained by Ash during his travels through Unova. Ash's Oshawott is a happy and energetic Pokémon who wants more attention from people. In addition, Ash's Oshawott is a very immature romanticist and gets lovestruck easily, though he always ends up being rejected by female Pokémon.

Ash’s Oshawott was one of the Unova Region's starter Pokémon who was under the care of Professor Juniper. The new Trainer, Trip, and Ash who had arrived from Kanto before Trip got here in Nuvema Town. Trip chose Snivy which caused Oshawott to become as still as a statue and fall over in shock. Oshawott, however developed an interest in Ash and left Juniper's lab, following the young Trainer from a distance. Oshawott later proved his worth by saving Ash's Pikachu and Iris' Axew from Team Rocket's clutches before fleeing the scenes

Best Moveset:

Sword DanceWaterfall
Aqua JetX-Scissor

Oshawott has too many flaws, including mediocre stats and a less-than-average movepool, to become a strong force. Firstly, Oshawott can really only run a Swords Dance set without being outclassed by something else. Priority in Aqua Jet is very useful. Waterfall is Oshawott's main STAB move and will OHKO most threats it hits neutrally. Since Oshawott will attract Slowpoke and Lileep with its Water-type moves, it gets time to set up on the switch. It can then proceed to strike either of them with X-Scissor and wreak havoc. To conclude, Oshawott isn't that great, but it is certainly viable with proper support.

How to catch Oshawott in Pokémon Go?

To catch Oshawott, players will have to search the wild, especially in rainy weather conditions as it will boost its spawn rate due to being a water type. Furthermore, Oshawott can also be found in 2km eggs, Research Encounters and Raids too.
