LA Knight (birth name: Shaun Edward Ricker) is a pro-level wrestler. He started in 2003 and joined Championship Wrestling in 2010. The current US Champion held the CWFH Heritage Heavyweight Title and the NWA Heritage Tag Team Title. The SmackDown superstar is a former Ironman Heavymetalweight Champion. He first worked in NXT as Slate Randall for a year. After joining Impact Wrestling in 2015, Knight won the Impact World Tag Team Title, the TNA King of the Mountain Title, and Knight won the Impact World Title each once.

"The Megastar" also achieved the Feast or Fired Title two times in 2016 and 2018. Following his tenure with TNA, he moved to the National Wrestling Alliance, where he secured the NWA World Tag Team Title. Getting back to WWE NXT in 2021, he claimed the Million Dollar Title. Throughout his career, Knight has additionally contended in different advancements like the Heartland Wrestling Association, Empire Wrestling Federation, and Pro Wrestling Revolution. His notable titles include the PWR Heavyweight Title, HWA Television Title, and EWF Heavyweight Title. "The Natural Selection" has participated in 660 professional matches and won 332 out of them with a winning rate of 50.3% as of August 2024.

LA Knight’s Hometown

Hagerstown, Maryland, US is the hometown of LA Knight. He was brought up in his hometown by his parents. Growing up along with his two older siblings, Knight developed an enthusiasm for pro wrestling as early as three years of age. His educational journey started at North Hagerstown High School, from which he graduated.

Knight's academic pursuits led him to West Virginia University, where he was a student for eighteen months. Tragically, financial issues constrained him to pull out before finishing his degree. After leaving college, Knight went back to his hometown Hagerstown, where he chose to focus on a full-time career in pro wrestling.

After his time at West Virginia University, LA Knight moved to Cincinnati, Ohio. He started his wrestling training at 20 years old in 2003. To help himself during this period, he worked at a Ruby Tuesday restaurant and a lumber mill. He began working consistently for the Heartland Wrestling Association (HWA) later that same year, performing under the ring name Deuce. Knight immediately became famous in the HWA. On November 9, 2004, he clinched the HWA Television Title. He held the title for more than a year until January 4, 2005, when he at last dropped the title.
