Oba Femi is a former shot putter and the current WWE NXT Champion, signed to WWE through its NIL program in 2021. He also appears in TNA. He is the first NIL graduate to win both the North American and NXT Championships and is also the longest-reigning NXT North American Champion with a record 273-day reign.

Oba Femi competed in track and field at Middle Tennessee State and the University of Alabama, winning Conference USA and SEC shot put titles. He won the NXT Championship at New Year's Evil 2025 by defeating Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe. He later defended it against Grayson Waller, Austin Theory, and Moose.

Oba Femi was trained by Matt Bloom at the WWE Performance Center. He also received in-ring training and guidance from Ivar. Shawn Michaels oversaw his development as the head of NXT. Femi credits Bloom for teaching him the fundamentals of the big man wrestling style. He worked closely with Ivar, who coached him during training sessions and matches.

Matt Bloom is the Head Coach and Vice President of Talent Development in WWE. He played college football as an offensive lineman at the University of Pittsburgh. Bloom trained under WWE Hall of Famer Killer Kowalski and debuted in WWE in 1999.

During his wrestling career, he performed under the names Albert, A-Train, and Giant Bernard. He won the Intercontinental Championship by defeating Kane at Madison Square Garden. At WrestleMania XIX, he teamed with Big Show against The Undertaker. In New Japan Pro Wrestling, he was the top foreign wrestler and held the longest IWGP Tag Team Title reign with Karl Anderson.

Bloom became WWE Performance Center Head Coach in May 2015. He has helped train talents including Finn Bálor and Oba Femi.
