Steve Austin is considered to be one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot inside the squared circle. Many also consider him to be the protagonist of the highly acclaimed Attitude Era.

Born Steven James Anderson in 1964 in Texas, Austin had developed a passion for athletics in his youth. He played football in high school and even pursued a college football scholarship before a knee injury sidelined those dreams. It was then that he turned his sights to professional wrestling.

He wrestled in the WCW during his early career but then joined WWE and the rest is history. ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin became the biggest name in professional wrestling in the 1990s. However, his career was cut short due to injuries. More importantly, even with a shorter career than others, Austin’s legacy as a professional wrestler is second to no one.
