The NXT Titleholder is a former NXT North American Champion. Williams played football during his college days for Hampton Pirates and played in the Spring League in 2018. He also attended a tryout for the Philadelphia Eagles rookie camp in 2018.
Belton started his professional wrestling career in 2021 and signed a developmental contract with WWE. He was assigned to work with the NXT brand and acted as a bodyguard for Carmelo Hayes. They formed a tag team alliance later dubbing themselves as Trick Melo Gang. After two years of escorting and wrestling occasionally on television, Williams split his path with Hayes to catch up to their individual goals. Which made Williams capture his first championship in his pro-wrestling career by winning the NXT North American Championship.
