John Cena and Brock Lesnar go way back to developmental when they were part of the OVW batch that consisted of the likes of Batista, Shelton Benjamin, Randy Orton and more. While it took John Cena three years to skyrocket to the top of the WWE mountain, it took Lesnar hardly 4 months. Their careers were very close together, and the two even spent a few years together on SmackDown. It's quite surprising that their paths haven't crossed that much, though Lesnar had been absent for 8 years while Cena was the face of the franchise.
Many fans believe that if Lesnar hadn't left, he would have been the face of WWE. However, it's purely speculation. Lesnar himself has stated that he didn't like the WWE travel schedule. It worked out fine for him at the end, because he went out, became a much bigger star and came back with the part-time schedule that he enjoys today. Here are the times when Cena and The Beast Incarnate crossed paths.
