Bryan Danielson (original name: Bryan Lloyd Danielson) is currently performing on AEW and an individual from Blackpool Combat Club. He is famous as Daniel Bryan for his term with WWE. He started his career in free circuits in 1999. He also worked for Ring of Honor (ROH) from 2002 to 2009. He is the winner of the ROH Pure Championship and the ROH World Championship. Danielson was inducted into the Hall of Fame of ROH in their first-ever event. Bryan additionally worked for Pro Wrestling Noah, New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW), Full Impact Pro (FIP), and Westside Xtreme Wrestling(wXw).

He won several titles in his WWE tenure such as WWE Championship, World Heavyweight Championship, United States Title, Intercontinental Championship, WWE Tag Team Championship, and SmackDown Tag Team Championship. He was named the 15th Grand Slam Champion and 26th Triple Crown Champion in WWE’s history. He was at the main event of WrestleMania 2014 and 2021. Due to some injuries, he announced his retirement from wrestling in 2016. He worked with WWE as a SmackDown General manager after retirement. Danielson worked till 2018 in the same role with WWE.

He completed his graduation from Aberdeen High School in 1999. His father had an alcohol issue and this is the reason that his parents parted ways. He became a fan of pro wrestling after watching a magazine from a friend. Although he was a shy person in his childhood but appeared in sports like track & field and football. He worked as a newspaperman and as a waiter at McDonald's to help his family financially.

Bryan Danielson's Parents

Bryan Danielson's parents, Donald Orrin "Buddy" Danielson and Darlene Jean Danielson, played significant roles in his upbringing. Darlene, a therapist and educator, instilled in Bryan a love for learning and supported his academic pursuits. Donald, a former lumberjack turned school teacher and dean, emphasized the values of hard work and dedication to Bryan. Donald passed away in 2014 at the age of 57, but both parents' influence continues to shape Bryan's life and career.

Bryan Danielson's Professional Wrestling Career

Bryan Danielson began his wrestling training at Texas Wrestling Academy under Shawn Michaels and Rudy Gonzalez. WWF signed him in 2000 for their cruiserweight division. He signed with New Japan Pro Wrestling in 2001 after being released by WWF in 2001. He worked with the promotion till 2004. He signed with WWE again in 2002 for only a year. His tenure with Ring of Honor started in 2002 and continued for seven years. After he departed from ROH he worked for numerous free circuits like All-Star Wrestling, Frontier Wrestling Alliance, World Association of Wrestling, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, National Wrestling Alliance, TNA, and EVOLVE till 2010.

Danielson made his second return to WWE in 2010. The same year he won his first title with WWE in Night of Champions and was crowned the new US Champion. Danielson came out on top for the Money in the Bank briefcase in 2011. He used that to clinch his first-ever World Title at the TLC event in the same year. He likewise bagged the WWE Title four times in his career. He won his Intercontinental title at WrestleMania 31. Danielson's contract with WWE expired in 2022 and he signed for AEW in the same year.
