Kazuchika Okada is a Japanese professional wrestler signed to All Elite Wrestling. Born on November 8, 1987, Okada is considered to be one of the greatest in-ring performers in the world.

Okada's journey began at a young age, stepping into the ring at 16. After honing his craft overseas, he returned to New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) in 2012, a fresh face with charisma. It was his epic victory over the legendary Hiroshi Tanahashi that truly announced his arrival. This "Rainmaker Shock," as it's known, saw Okada dethrone the established king and claim the prestigious IWGP Heavyweight Championship.

What followed was a period of dominance. Okada's reign, lasting a record-breaking 720 days, saw thrilling matches and unforgettable rivalries. He dueled with Tanahashi in a series of classics, each pushing the other to new heights. Further, his matches against the likes of Kenny Omega, Will Ospreay, Tomohiro Ishii, and Sanada defined the generation of wrestling outside America.

His signature pose, the Rainmaker – a palm thrust forward – became an iconic symbol among fans. While his reign in NJPW ended in 2024, he made a shocking move, joining the American promotion All Elite Wrestling (AEW) where fans were taken by storm with his salary.

As per Forbes, Kazuchika Okada is contracted for about $4.5 million per year from AEW. In March 2024, it was reported that Okada had inked a three-year contract with All Elite Wrestling which was worth around a whopping 2 Billion Yen, which roughly translates to $13.5 million.

This converts to $4.5 million per year for Okada. This figure makes him one of the highest earners in not only AEW but the whole of pro wrestling.
