A scooper named @dr_antigo recently dropped a post on X claiming the Riot Shield might not be available as a primary weapon in CoD 2024 Black Ops Gulf War. Instead, it may get introduced as a Field Upgrade in Treyarch's upcoming premium installment.

The insider runs a YouTube channel where he has been sharing leaks and rumors about this year's anticipated FPS installment for quite some time now. Some of his claims have been in line with those of other insiders, especially regarding the possibility of CoD 2024 being free for Xbox Game Pass.

The Riot Shield has been a primary weapon option in recent Call of Duty titles. It was first seen back in 2009's Modern Warfare 2. Currently, it's available as a standard weapon in the new MW3 from Sledgehammer Games.

Players usually go with the Riot Shield to defend themselves from enemy bullets during online matches. More than a weapon, it acts as a protective shield and deflects the bullets. It's also worth noting that hitting enemies repeatedly with the Riot Shield can kill them as well. Another advantage of this weapon is that it greatly reduces explosive damage when pointed in the right direction.
