Diego Pavia is a college football quarterback playing for the Vanderbilt Commodores, as of November 2024. The 6 ft 0-inch player attended Volcano Vista High School. Throughout his High School career, Pavia recorded 108 of his 165 pass attempts for 1,485 yards and 14 touchdowns to five interceptions. Additionally, he rushed for 464 yards and nine touchdowns. Pavia began his college career when he announced his commitment to the New Mexico Military Institute (NMMI).

Diego went on to complete 189 of his 323 passing attempts for 2,644 yards and 31 touchdowns with just four interceptions. He also rushed for 1,107 yards and 15 touchdowns. In addition to this, Pavia also led the Broncos to the NJCAA National Football Championship in 2021 which was his last season with the team.

In the championship season, Pavia threw for 21 touchdowns and was intercepted only once. He also shined in the championship game against Iowa Western when he recorded two touchdowns and ran for one. The player went to represent New Mexico State where he was awarded his first start in the team's season opener against Nevada. However, his debut start was not as he would have expected. Following his struggles, he eventually got another start against UTEP before he had a career night against Liberty. He completed 16 of his 21 passes for 214 yards and three touchdowns during his side’s victory. Pavia proved to be a threat to the opponents after rushing for 125 yards and three touchdowns.

Following his impressive performance, Pavia was announced one of the Manning Stars of the Week and was named the Manning Quarterback of the Week. Pavia joined Vanderbilt on January 18, 2024, before he led his side to an upset victory over No. 1 Alabama. It was historical as the victory was Vanderbilt's first win over a top-5 team.
