#3 Axar Patel

Indian All-Rounder

Remember Pawan Negi, the left-arm orthodox spinner who can bat a bit and got 8.5 Crores in the auction. Axar Patel is a better batsman, certainly a better bowler than Negi, and one can expect him to go above 8.5 crores.

Axar was the only player to be retained by the Kings XI Punjab ahead of the mega-auction, but due to injuries, and the inclusion of Mujeeb Ur Rahman and Ravichandran Ashwin, Patel's spot in the team came under the radar.

In the 68 matches that he has represented the Punjab based franchise, he has taken 61 wickets at an economy rate below 8, and also bats at a strike rate above 125.

Indian capped players are always in huge demand, let alone a bowling all-rounder. If he can maintain his fitness, Axar can be a vital cog to any team that he represents. It will be interesting to see which team that he will play for in IPL season 12.
