Karan Sharma was the most expensive buy on Day 2 of IPL Auction 2014

Unlike day 1, the second day of the IPL 2014 player auction saw little movement throughout the day. Although some unsold players from yesterday came back into the auction and went for good money, it was the uncapped Indian players who dominated the headlines.

Karan Sharma was the pick of the day as the Indian spinner went to the Sunrisers Hyderabad for a whopping 3.5 Cr, which is more than what the season campaigners like Ojha, Murali Kartik and the legendary Muttiah Muralitharan managed to attract.

In second place was the Mumbai-based pacer Rishi Dhawan, who was snapped up by Kings XI Punjab for 3 Cr, which is 15 times his base price of 20 Lakh. In third place were two buys by the Delhi Daredevils, who got both the experienced Ross Taylor and the explosive Kedar Jadhav for 2 Cr.

On the back of a phenomenal season in the Ram Slam T20, Beuran Hendricks pocketed himself a tidy 1.8 Cr and an opportunity to play in the IPL, and rounded off the top five. Check out the list of top 10 buys on Day 2 below.
