KKR’s 9 match winning streak in the 2014 season is also the IPL most consecutive wins by a team in a single season. Winning just 2 of their first 7 matches in 2014, KKR were on the brink of getting knocked out.
The 9 match streak in 2014 started on May 7, 2014 against Delhi Daredevils and continued till the final match in which they defeated Kings XI Punjab by 3 wickets. Three of these nine wins were against Kings XI Punjab. The other teams they defeated in that run in the 2014 season were Delhi Daredevils, Mumbai Indians, Sunrisers Hyderabad (twice), Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore.
