Mohit Burman from Dabur, Ness Wadia from Wadia Group, Preity Zinta from PZNZ Media and Karan Paul from Apeejay Surrendra Group are the co-owners of the Punjab-based IPL franchise. Preity Zinta is the face of the management group as she is present at the auction table every year and is also cheering the team from the stands during each game.
Shahrukh Khan (Red Chillies Entertainment) and Jay Mehta and Juhi Chawla (Mehta Group) combine to own the Kolkata Knight Riders with 55% and 45% stakes respectively. Bollywood actor Shahrukh Khan is the face of the team but the management and auction operations are mostly taken care of by the duo from the Mehta Group.

United Spirits Limitedâs Anand Kripalu owns the Royal Challengers Bangalore franchise. The incredibly followed IPL team has had a change of owners after a few unfortunate turn of events forced Kingfisherâs Vijay Mallya to drop the team leadership. The fans might be hoping to see a change of fortune for the teamâs success after a change in ownership.
Sun Networkâs Kalanithi Maran owns the Hyderabad-based franchise since they changed from Deccan Chargers to Sunrisers Hyderabad in 2013. The franchise won one title as Deccan Chargers and then their second title after the change to SRH. Kalanithiâs daughter Kaviya Maran seems to have taken over the operations of the team from 2020.
