PNG T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule

The ninth edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 will take place across the length and breadth of the Caribbean islands and the United States of America between June 02-29m

Each team will play a total of four Group matches in this 20-team event. The top two from each of the four groups will advance to the Super-8 stage, where eight teams will be split into two groups.

The top two teams from each group will move to the knockout stage. The semi-finals will take place on June 27, followed by the summit clash in Barbados on June 29.

After topping the ICC Men’s T20 Cricket East Asia Pacific (EAP) Qualifiers 2024, Papua New Guinea will look to make an impact in what will be their second appearance at the Men’s showpiece event.

PNG have been locked alongside co-hosts West Indies, former runners-up New Zealand, Giant Killers Afghanistan, and a talented Ugandan team in Group C of T20 World Cup 2024.

Papua New Guinea T20 World Cup 2024 Schedule

Papua New Guinea will launch their ICC Men’s T20 World Cup campaign against two-time world champions and co-hosts, West Indies, at the Providence Stadium in Guyana on June 02, 2024.

They will then face Uganda at the same venue on June 06. The final two fixtures- vs. Afghanistan (June 14) and vs. New Zealand (June 17) at the Brian Lara Stadium in Trinidad.

PNG T20 World Cup 2024 schedule for the group stage came out on January 5 on a special show organized by Star Sports. After a two-year absence, Papua New Guinea will make its return to the T20 World Cup, and this time, they will get an opportunity to play against three Test-playing nations and a debutant associate nation.

PNG’s T20 World Cup 2024 schedule opens with a match against two-time champions West Indies, followed by a battle against Uganda and then the two dark horses of the competition - Afghanistan and New Zealand.

The dates for the four matches are June 2, 5, 13 and 17, with the start time being 7:30 PM IST for all games. All eyes will be on PNG as they try to qualify for the Super 8s round for the first time ever.
