The upcoming open-world RPG from the world of Hogwarts is officially ready for pre-order from August 25th, 2022, and the collector's edition costs nearly $300. The game will release on February 10th, 2023.
What is the game about?
The game Hogwarts Legacy is set in the 1890s and we play a student starting at Hogwarts who will be in the fifth year. The player will start at the school later compared to other students, and the Ministry of Magic will give a wizard's field guide. As we start exploring, the game provides additional information and experience points. The character we play holds the key to an ancient secret that can tear the wizarding world apart, and is also capable of manipulating mysterious ancient magic. We will uncover why all of a sudden this forgotten magic has suddenly made a comeback and we must find the ones that are trying to harness it.
The player can also interact with characters like Nearly Headless Nick, The Fat Lady, and Peeves, who were previously seen within the Wizarding World franchise. As the game progresses, we will be introduced to new characters such as Professor Eleazar Fig who will be a mentor figure to the protagonist. Antagonists featured in the game are Ranrok, the leader of the Goblin Rebellion, and Victor Rookwood, the leader of a group of Dark Wizards.
When will Hogwarts Legacy be released?
Warner Bros. Games division revealed a new trailer that lets us peek into the world of Hogwarts Legacy. This upcoming open-world, action role-playing game is developed by Avalanche Software and is scheduled to launch on Feb 10th, 2023. The new Sebastian Sallow’s Dark Legacy gameplay trailer reveals some of the darker elements players will have to counter, giving us a closer look at the game’s more dangerous foes, and fearsome magical creatures hidden in the shadows. The trailer focuses on one of Hogwarts Legacy’s optional companion quest lines with Sebastian Sallow, and also provides a glimpse at the Unforgivable Curses and the difficulties players will face as they learn more about the mystery of the Sallow family and decide whether they are against or for the Dark Arts as the game progresses.
Is it available for pre-order?
Hogwarts Legacy will be available for pre-order on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One consoles, and PC via the PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Steam, and Epic Games Store. The Nintendo Switch version is also up for pre-order. All players that pre-order will have exclusive access to Onyx Hippogriff Mount upon completing the relevant quest.
The Hogwarts Legacy Collector’s Edition will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC for $289.99 and for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X for $299.99. The collector's edition includes the Deluxe Edition content, Dark Arts Garrison Hat, the physical Life-Size Floating Ancient Magic Wand with Book Base, Steel Case, and in-game Kelpie Robe.
