Adin Ross was banned on April 20, 2022, for "hateful conduct". According to the reason given by Twitch, Ross has apparently used some homophobic slurs during a live stream which lead to his 'indefinite ban'.


For the unversed, this isn't Adin Ross' first time being banned. His indefinite ban is a result of his first four bans that were put on him and later revoked. This time, Ross went through a lengthy ban of nearly 6 weeks. It was an indefinite ban however, after 6 weeks, Twitch once again revoked his ban and Ross was able to return to the Amazon-owned platform on June 4, 2022.

Adin Ross was born on October 11, 2000, in Boca Raton, Florida. Since a very young age, Ross has expressed his interest in streaming and once revealed that he skipped his high school prom to stream on Twitch. Ross and his sister Naomi Ross began regularly streaming on Twitch during his stay with her


He is well known for his gaming content on NBA 2k and GTA V. It was his streaming on NBA 2k20 that helped him gain immense popularity in the streaming industry. While at it he joined the NBA 2k group called Always Excelling and met Bronny James through it. Ross and James' wager matches with other streamers and YouTubers are what propelled Ross to fame. Once while Ross was streaming with Bronny, LeBron James joined in on the call which went viral on Twitter.


In November 2020, Ross was unhappy with the outcome of the game NBA 2K21 and its creators and hence began a Twitter hashtag called #make2kfunagain. This hashtag of his went on to be highly viral and made it the number one trending topic worldwide on the platform.

In a since-deleted Tweet, Adin Ross revealed that Twitch had put out an 'indefinite ban' on him for using 'hateful slurs or symbols'. His Tweet read, "I got banned on Twitch, indefinitely." It further read, "I am not sure what I said, though. I'm not sure what I did. It occurred on stream or VOD. I don't know, man." The tweet also showed a snapshot of Twitch's mail which read that his account was being banned due to “using hateful slurs, hate symbols, or hate group emblems without context or in a harmful manner.”


Later it was accused that Ross had said homophobic slurs during a stream with fellow streamer YourRAGE. However, Rage later rubbished these claims and clarified that the person who used those slurs was a friend from high school and not Adin Ross. As this ban was Ross' fifth ban, it was indefinite.


Adin Ross was banned from Twitch on April 20, 2022. After nearly 6 weeks of wait, Ross' ban was lifted and he returned back to the Amazon-owned platform on June 4, 2022.
