The 2019 FIA Formula One World Championship is the highest level of Formula car racing championship in the world and is in the 73rd year of running. In the current season, F1 Drivers and teams are competing in twenty-one Grands Prix for the World Drivers' and World Constructors' championship titles respectively.

The 2019 F1 Drivers' & Constructors' Championship Contenders
Five time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton will try and get closer to Michael Schumacher's record of seven titles. Mercedes is the defending World Constructors' Champion, having won their fifth consecutive title at the 2019 United States Grand Prix. Their main rival Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel finished second in the 2019 F1 season. One of most successful constructors in F1 of all times, Scuderia Ferrari commonly know as Ferrari haven't won a title since 2007.
The most important drivers in the race for 2019 F1 drivers championship are Lewis Hamiton, Valtteri Bottas, Sebastian Vettel, Charles Leclerc and Max Verstappen.
Top Teams:
The most anticipated teams for the F1 2019 Constructors championship are Mercedes, Scuderia Ferrari, and Red Bull racing who will be eyeing the top stop, the 2019 F1 constructors' championship.
âAfter five rounds, Sebastian Vettel trails Hamilton in the World Drivers' Championship by seventeen points. Valtteri Bottas is third, a further twenty points behind. In the World Constructors' Championship, Mercedes leads Ferrari by twenty-seven points, with Red Bull Racing third.
Mid Feild teams:
The battle for the midfield teams' and drivers' are very close with Force India Mercedes finishing in a commendable fourth place in 2017 championship but haven't able to show their stellar performance compared to the previous season. The HAAS Ferrari team showed impressive pace right from testing but haven't been able to convert them into results as a constructor so far. Red Bull racings sister team Scuderia Toro Rosso have been impressive till now with their driver Pierre Gasly finishing in fourth at the Bahrain Grand Prix earlier this year. Mclaren, one of the most successful F1 teams in the history of the sport is now competing to seal that midfield spot and trying to move up the order with their Spanish Formula 1 double world champion Fernando Alonso who has been consistent in contributing points to till now. The Williams F1 has struggled the most this season with both their drivers and their test driver, former F1 driver Robert Kubica complaining about the lack of pace and their struggle with the balance of the car remains unsolved.

The Rookie's:
The MonÊgasque driver Charles Leclerc who made his way into F1 from the FIA F2 championship. He drives for the Alpha Romeo Sauber Ferrari team alongside his experienced teammate Marcus Ericsson. Leclerc has been very impressive so far in his rookie season with a sixth-place finish at Baku, Azerbaijan Grand Prix and has scored thirteen championship points compared to Ericsson with just three points.
The Russian driver Sergey Sirotkin joined the young Canadian Lance Stroll at the Williams F1 team and is the only driver yet to score points so far this year.

Technical Updates:
A revision of the sport's technical regulations has led to a new cockpit protection device known as the "halo" which was introduced for the 2019 championship. The Pirelli Formula1 tyres compounds remain the same as last year except for the introduction of a new compound "hypersoft" which will be the fastest tyre option available and due to make it debut in 2019 F1 Monaco Grand Prix.
