Lee Hodge's golf career has been a combination of successes and disappointments. He has been making a name for himself in the golf world since becoming a professional in 2018. Hodges competed in a PGA Tour Canada qualifying tournament in March 2018, while still in college. He finished tied for 28th, gaining membership but no guaranteed starts. The same year he became a pro, he qualified for the PGA Tour Canada's Lethbridge Paradise Canyon Open in late June and finished T12.

This offered up additional opportunities for him, as he finished 15th on the tour money list after finishing second at the ATB Financial Classic and third at the Staal Foundation Open. This earned him entrance into the Korn Ferry Tour qualification tournament, although he was ousted in the last round by a one-shot margin of eight guaranteed starts.

Hodges finished 73rd on the 2019 Korn Ferry Tour season, after starting 16th at the Bahamas Great Exuma Classic. Placing in the top 75 earned him a ticket in the Korn Ferry Tour Finals and full-exempt status in 2020.

Hodges finished in the top ten five times in 2020, including a win at the Portland Open, and was third in the points standings. His success on the Korn Ferry Tour qualified him for the 2020 U.S. Open and other PGA Tour tournaments in 2021, following the conclusion of the 2020-21 Korn Ferry Tour's regular season.

As a rookie on the PGA Tour, Hodges' best finish was a tie for third at The American Express, where he shared the lead halfway through the 54 holes. He managed to keep his permit and advanced for the FedEx Cup Playoffs in 2022 with 99 points from three more top-25 performances.

At the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship, he tied for 13th place in a playoff event, falling eight points short of breaking into the top 70 and qualifying for the second tournament.

At the age of 28, Hodges won the 2023 3M Open, his first PGA Tour victory after 65 career starts. He defeated Martin Laird, Kevin Streelman, and J.T. Poston to become the first player on the tour to win by seven strokes or more since Dustin Johnson at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in 2020.

He also became the first player to win the 3M Open straight up since J.T. Poston in 2022, as well as the first Tour winner to win from start to finish. He made two eagles (Nos. 6 and 12) in the final round, becoming the sixth (seventh) player in history (1983-present) to hold the lead or co-lead at 54 and subsequently make multiple eagles in the same round.
