This week's GTA Online update gives players a great opportunity to earn 2x LS Car Meet Reputation. Naturally, some will want to farm this resource while it's still available. This guide will include various tips that should help out people trying to unlock more Tuner Trade Prices and other unique clothing rewards from the Merch Store. Everything listed here will also work for any week outside this one, just without the 2x bonus.

This guide will assume that GTA Online players have already paid Mimi for their LS Car Meet membership. Otherwise, they can't benefit from getting any Reputation Points (often abbreviated as RP, but not to be confused with Ranks). The following isn't ranked in any particular order.

Five ways to easily level up your LS Car Meet Reputation in GTA Online

1) AFK trick in the Test Track

Spending any amount of time in the LS Car Meet will passively give you points to level up your Reputation. Wearing special merchandise bought from this area boosts it further. However, GTA Online usually kicks people for idling too long, meaning gamers usually cannot loiter around doing nothing.

There is one exception. The screenshot shown above shows a method where plays can stay on this menu forever. Doing it is extremely easy, too. All you have to do is:

  1. Enter the Test Track
  2. Try to leave.
  3. Stay on this menu for as long as you'd like.

From that point on, do nothing. After an hour or two, leave and change your clothes to force GTA Online to save. Repeat the process afterward.

2) Visit the LS Car Meet with a personal vehicle to mod

Once a day, you can get the following amount of Reputation Points by doing the following in the LS Car Meet:

  • Visit the LS Car Meet: 50
  • Bring a personal vehicle here: 50
  • Modify that car here: 50
  • Enter the Test Track with that vehicle: 50
  • Enter the Test Track with a Test Ride: 50

That's 250 RP for a minute's work. The cooldown here is 24 hours, so make sure to come back tomorrow and repeat this process. You can also get more RP by attending the LS Car Meet seven, fourteen, or twenty days in a row.

You will also get the passive RP by loitering around, so you can technically do the aforementioned AFK trick after doing the above list of activities.

3) Do street races

Skilled GTA Online players who can easily win races against multiple people will find this method to be the best option for farming LS Car Meet Reputation. On a related note, even bad drivers can get a decent amount of points to level up.

For example, winning a street race with eight people would give you 80 Reputation Points. If you were in last place, you would get 16 instead, which is decent if you enjoy this type of content. This method is repeatable, so feel free to do races with others as often as you'd like.

Do note that you need at least one other person for this type of content.

4) Buy clothes from the Merch Store

The items you can buy from the Merch Store will periodically get unlocked as you gain more Reputation. Interestingly, purchasing those clothes will give you 25 RP each. It can only be done once per item, yet this method is pretty easy to do for GTA Online players with plenty of money.

You will likely want to own at least one piece of apparel from this store anyway, as it boosts the passive Reputation you earn while in the LS Car Meet. Players just need to prepare themselves to lose some money in the meantime.

5) Do Auto Shop Contracts

Completing a prep mission for Auto Shop Contracts gives you 50 Reputation Points in GTA Online, while doing a finale gives you 200. Event weeks that give boosted RP also tend to have bonus cash on Auto Shop Contracts. That means you can earn bonus money and Reputation Points simultaneously.

Three Auto Shop Contracts can be randomly generated on the player's whiteboard in the Auto Shop. They all give the same amount of LS Car Meet RP, so pick the one with the best money payouts. The Union Depository Contract provides the best payments, so do that job whenever possible.

A variation of the Heist Replay Glitch also works if players want to farm money. Note that the exploit is most effective in the PC version of GTA Online, so console players should stick with just grinding the job like usual.
