At UFC 277, Anthony Smith faced Magomed Ankalaev and lost the bout via TKO at 3:09 in the second round. Later, he was scheduled to face Jamahal Hill at UFC Fight Night 221, and it was canceled as Hill was booked for a title fight against Glover Texeira.
