You can use the Ark additions mod to spawn this creature on the island.

Xiphactinus has great bite force and is extremely quick, making it one of the strongest water tames. That said, taming it can be difficult because of its aggressive nature. This guide will explain everything you need to know about taming a Xiphactinus in Ark Survival Ascended.

After you have installed the Ark Survival Ascended Xiphactinus mod, you can start searching for the beast. The chances of seeing a Xiphactinus spawn near the shore are slim to none; you will have to travel to the open ocean to find them. You can look for them in the deep sea, around the same areas where creatures like Dunkleosteus, Plesiosaurs, and Ammonites spawn.

Approach the Xiphactinus carefully, as the creature is extremely hostile and will attack if it notices you. Also, take a strong tame with you for protection.

How to Tame Xiphactinus in Ark Survival Ascended

The Ark Survival Ascended Xiphactinus is known for its powerful bite attack. It can also swim fast, which means knocking it out might be difficult. To successfully tame this fish, you must build a simple trap. Here’s how to do so:

• Construct a 2x3 foundation base.
• Place a single doorway with a gate on one of the short ends. This will serve as the entrance.
• Line the remaining sides with stone doorways.
• Make sure to build stone doorways two walls high so the Xiphactinus can fit in the trap.
• Place some ceilings at the top to prevent the Xiphactinus from escaping.

Now that you have built your trap, it’s time to lure the Xiphactinus inside it. Follow the steps below to trap it:

• First, open the trap gate.
• Approach a Xiphactinus from a distance and try to aggro it.
• Lead the Xiphactinus inside the trap. Also, be careful because they will swim fast towards you.
• Once the Xiphactinus enters the trap, quickly close the gate to secure it.
• Then, you can get out of the trap through the gaps of the stone doorways.

After you trap the Xiphactinus, use Tranquilizer arrows or darts to knock it out. Aim for the head for the most efficient torpor application. If you notice the Xiphactinus getting bloody and losing health, you can feed it raw fish meat to recover its health. Once it’s knocked out, you can successfully tame the Xiphactinus in Ark Survival Ascended by feeding it either Superior Kibble or Raw Mutton.

When it’s tamed, equip it with an Ark Survival Ascended saddle and you should have yourself an incredibly fast water mount.
