Destiny 2 Season 23 finale leaks hint at Black Garden, Vex genocide, and more

Destiny 2 Season 23 finale was teased with an in-game message on May 17, 2024. While the seasonal entry did have a separate finale a couple of months ago, Bungie has additional plans leading into The Final Shape. The message reads "Veiled threats emerge," essentially giving away nothing regarding the objectives coming with the weekly reset.

Thankfully, a renowned datamining account on X, Bungie Leaks, leaked the Season 23 finale's upcoming objectives and rewards. This hints at the return of a destination, potential aftermath, and more.

All leaked objectives and rewards from Destiny 2 Season of the Wish finale

The mission/triumph of Destiny 2 Season of the Wish finale has been leaked to be "Closer to the Heart," which links back to the Black Garden. Completing the mission will also lead to a triumph, eventually dropping a Legendary emblem called "Guardian Glam."

Since this will be rewarded with the final mission, it can be safely assumed that the emblem will be time-limited.

Bungie Leaks also uploaded a voice line linked with the mission, where players can hear Osiris talking about the Black Garden. Here are a few important bits of Osiris' voice lines throughout the upcoming finale:

"The Black Heart was a failed copy of the Veil. Imperfect, but potent nonetheless. This was a simulation of their prior efforts. The Sol Divisive must have been using it to bond their collective with the Darkness."

"The errant signal is not far ahead."

"Destroy the Abomination."

Based on the objectives, players are in for a trip down memory lane, where most of the tasks feel familiar with Destiny 1's final mission. It remains to be seen whether Bungie decides to put some twist on the current lore of the game.
